Plan B

I just heard back from the Dr.'s office. My induction is now scheduled for Monday October 29th at 5:30 AM.

Matt, my mom, and I all feel more comfortable with the 29th than the 24th (since my body shows no indication that it's ready), so I think it was a good decision to push it back a little.

I'm still shooting for Friday the 26th to go on my own. This kid just needs to drop into place first.

I was induced with both of my kids so I don't know any other way...eveything went well since I had my epidural, that pitocin made me hurt like crazy! Are you getting an epidural?

I think you should wait until the later date! I was fully dialated with Becca and she just wouldn't come down (I was still at a -2) when they gave me the pitocin she went into distress (hence the emergency section). I hope your body is better than mine!

It will for sure be the later date.

Smart to wait and not torture yourself if your body is not ready and the baby has not even dropped! Good luck

We're like baby having twins. Almost. I was induced at 41 weeks on October 28th, two years ago. I had a crappy birth experience but it really had very little to do with induction and everything to do with a genetic pelvic disproportion issue. Anyway.
Our babies will almost share a birthday! See if you can't go into labor on the 28th. That'd be even better. :) Good luck with everything--it'll be an amazing, wonderful day no matter which date it happens on!

Induction isn't so bad. I wasn't technically induced but had a lot of pitocin.

If he still isn't dropping, just be sure to keep asking the nurses about walking around or sitting upright.

Epidural...it kind of just depends on how it all unfolds. If everything progresses normally and on the quicker side, I'm hoping to go natural. But if I'm in induction/pitocin pain and/or things aren't moving quite like they're supposed to, I'll probably get an epidural. We'll just have to see how it works out.

If you want him to drop maybe you could try jumping on a trampoline? Just kidding..he he he My sister-in-law always invites me over to jump on their tramp when I'm within a week of my due dates. I've never taken her up on it and don't suggest that you do it either. Nature knows best and I think you are very wise to wait and give nature as much time as possible to run her course.
