Jungle Fever: Bumper addition

Here is the finished product. I would like to do a crib skirt as well, but we'll see how it goes. That's more aesthetic than necessary, so it's not top priority.

It was a little harder and more time consuming than I expected, but it'll work I think. The 24 ties were the most tedious and unenjoyable (I know, not a word, but it should be) part of the project.

That is sooo cute! I am very impressed with your skills! I am trying to crochet a hot pad, does that count for anything? :)

Heck yes it does. I went through a crocheting phase 2 or 3 years ago. =) My thing was scarves. I think everyone I did Christmas presents for that year got scarves. haha.

Also Celia, are you from AZ? I saw your "snowflake friends" and thought I might ask. I was born and raised in good ol' AZ.

Welcome Emily! The picture of your boys on your blog is sooo cute. Did you take it?

Yep. Snowflake, AZ. Where in AZ are you from?

I did take it, have you ever been to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Farm? Next year you will have to take your little munchkin there for photos... everything is free (except the pumpkins) and it's not too far away (near the DFW airport).

I am from Prescott, AZ... the little town smack-dab between Flagstaff and Phoenix. I have never been to Snowflake, but I have had a few friends move over there a few years back.

So excited to find your blog! ;)

Thanks for all your compliments! Being a very novice seamstress, it makes me feel quite good. =)

I bought fabric for the skirt after all, so hopefully I can get that done in the next couple of days. It's a lot of good practice for me. Pretty rewarding too.
