The summon
Today is a first. I have been summoned for jury duty next week. It's the first time since I've been of age. I'm hoping they'll take pity on a pregnant lady. I really would rather not have to reschedule more piano lessons than I have to. Too bad it wasn't 2 months from now. Then I'd have a surefire exemption...

I have been summoned 3 times and have politely had to refuse (kids who were dependent upon me). Good luck and let us know how it goes!
yes, nursing a baby is a surefire way to get out of it. tell them that you can't sit for more than 15 minutes at a time for "medical reasons", and htat might do the trick.
