I'm sending you to my sister-in-law's blog so you can see their awesome homemade costumes. I believe my mother-in-law made both the turkey outfit and the batman outfit. She's just so amazing!
Those are amazing. You should put in a request for Dean for next year to your MIL. This year my favorite costume was a old-school boxer (a 2yr old), w/ a shiny velvet hooded robe (I didn't see if the back had a nick-name), satin boxing shorts, and black hi-top converse all stars (no shirt). Complete with a black eye. I believe it was the cutest thing I have ever seen.
