Cute and slightly impractical

Ok, Juls, I decided to go to kid-to kid to see if they had anything that rivaled the incredibly cute but pricey pumpkin outfit that I love. I decided that the problem with most pumpkin baby outfits is that they are really Halloween oriented and contain jack o lanterns rather than the harvest pumpkin that would be wearable all season long. However, I decided what the heck? Why should jack o lantern and monster clothing be limited to Halloween? So I bought two outfits today. I still want the Target one, but I am much less likely to purchase it now that I have these two cute outfits. Now, I have to admit that the monster one was not purchased at kid-to-kid, but it was 40% off at Carters...

Very cute outfits. Its such a great time of year to be having a baby. I need to get some fall newborn stuff as well since Carolyn was a spring baby. I think new baby clothes are one of the highlights of having a new baby and it helps you realize that you really are going to have a new person in your family soon.

I hope you don't get the outfit you really want because of ME! I guess my hubby has been under paid for the last 8 years. Since your husband gets paid about twice my husband and I have 3 kids...I am just CHEAP! so heck go for it...but I did like those outfits too! Did you like the kid to kid?

Well, it's not just because of your comment. I had been feeling like it was impractical and expensive, but sometimes things are sooo tempting. It's good to have a reality check sometimes. The monster one was more expensive ($11) than I'd pay for an outfit normally, but it was still much cheaper than the one online, so I went ahead and treated myself to it. The jack o lantern outfit was only $3.

Kid to kid is ok. This one's kind of small. They don't have near the selection that the one in Provo did.

October 23 is the official due date. I'm guessing it will be more like Halloween though...

My advice...get the outfit! You will probably receive (if not already) tons of clothes so you might as well splurge on one outfit you really LOVE!

wow. i have always thought that the provo kid to kid was the worst children's consignment type store ever. people take their clothes there after they have been used on 4-6 kids and keep all of their good stuff "just in case" they have another baby. me included. hahaha. now california was the place for good used clothes. people spent a fortune on clpothes, used it on 1 child, and then took it to the consignment store.

Hmmm...Since I didn't have a child in Provo, I may not have looked closely enough at the quality. I went there a couple of times with friends and I remember strollers and other baby gear was more plentiful there. There are generally only about 3-4 strollers at any given time. Maybe 1-3 swings, and the last time I went in there wasn't even 1 pack and play.

It's surprising, but young families and large families aren't uncommon here. It may have something to do with being in the bible belt here; I'm not sure...
