Nausea in the morning, nausea at night

My official statement on how I'm feeling this pregnancy:

"I have nausea in the mornings, nausea at night, and I have a throw up session every other day (or night). I'm still pretty exhausted in the morning. If I actually get a lot done in the morning, I almost always have to take a nap when Dean naps. Pregnancy is harder than I thought. I get heart burn occasionally and drinking water makes me feel nauseous, so I haven't been drinking as much as I should."

When I was pregnant with Dean, I had a total of 1-2 weeks of very minor nausea. I only threw up once (and that was after eating orange roughy. I think I'd throw up after eating orange roughy even when I wasn't pregnant. That's some fishy fish.) I didn't actually feel pregnant until about 2 weeks before he was born. Compare that to today: I threw up this morning, and here I am feeling nauseous again at night. Blech.

I had hoped that I was going to be the perfect pregnancy person like my sister Julie who has been pregnant 4 times now with little to no sickness. Guess it just depends on the pregnancy.

You poor thing!!! That's how I was when I was pregnant with Spencer...nauseous 24/7, so I can totally relate. I hope it passes quickly for you!!! If you ever want Dean to come play one morning, just give me a call!

Just a little suggestion...I couldn't drink water either for a very long time so I tried Propel fitness water. It was much easier to get down than pure water. It's a little pricey, but definitely worth not being dehydrated!

Oh yeah...probably starting later next week Dean is welcome to come over. :)

Thanks for the offer Laura. Luckily it's not an all day thing. Just a couple hours here and there. Thanks for the tip about the fitness water. I had a ginger ale the other day and it helped, but I really don't think a soda a day is going to help me in the long run! haha. maybe selzer water though...

I'm so sorry! You have my full sympathy. I got sicker with each of my pregnancies...no fun. Hopefully you'll be out of the woods soon. Good luck!

I agree. Pregnancy is hard. Dang hard. But worth it, right? I hope you feel better soon -- you're nearing the end of the 1st trimester, no?

Ugh, no fun. Water made me nauseous, too, so I added the little Crystal Light mixes to my water bottles for the first 5 months or so. It helped a lot.
