What a big little boy! He no longer fits in the newborn clothes. They are floods and 3/4 length sleeves. As one of my friends said when Walter was a baby, my body must make cream.
He's now 3 weeks and is getting even bigger. He is sporting the worst baby acne any of my babies have ever had. His umbilical cord has fallen off and he had his first bath yesterday before we went to church for the first time.
I think we've passed the "babymoon" phase. He doesn't fall asleep for quite as long of periods (he had been sleeping from 7pm-1am without waking, but the last few nights he's been sleeping from about 7-10 or 11. Still not bad.) nor quite as easily (he needs to be swaddled now) as the first two weeks, though he's still pretty good about both. He also is crying a little more now that he's awake longer. He had really loved the pacifier up till now, but he wouldn't take it at all for me today. Neither of my other boys took it much longer than 3 months, so I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't stick with it.
Yesterday we blessed him in church. He is the 6th Brasfield grandson to wear my father-in-law's christening outfit for his baby blessing. I tried to find a pen to write down some of the blessing, but I grabbed a bigger diaper bag rather than my normal church bag and sadly didn't have a pen, or even a crayon!, in there. Matt jotted down what he could remember.
- blessed with the spirit to guide and comfort
- blessed with a love of God and knowledge that God loves him
- blessed with protection from major harm
- blessed to help his family
- blessed to gain a testimony of the gospel
He's got a bit of a mullet. His hair is really long in the back! And he's starting to wear away the patch of hair in the back from turning his head from side to side.

Edward is incredibly darling and you look fantastic!
Shara says breastmilk works great for baby acne. His cleft and dimples - I cant get over them! So sweet!
